I’ve been struggling with a couple of disc drives, i dissasembled them, cleaned them, etc… put them on the xbox (taken apart) and they worked just fine, but at the time i assembled all back togheter, the same symptom comes back again, it zumm a couple times and doesn’t read the disc, and doesn’t sound like spinning. any ideas?
I’ve got the same issue. I’ve found that the humming is due to the loading mechanism getting stuck on the switch that let’s the Xbox know there’s a disc in. As for the disc not loading I’m unsure as well. I think it’s Lazer, or wire for the Lazer. The disc spins, but stops as the Lazer only moves forward and that’s it.
