I have searched on the TronicsFix forum here for a similar problem, but I do not seem to find one.
Anyways, I have gotten a controller from a friend of mine that had problems with charging and connecting through cable to the PS4.
“I’ll take a look”, I said. After trying a different flex cable, which didn’t work, I started to poke around with a multimeter.
Voltage is being generated up until the small resistor that resides below the port.
What could’ve caused that?
