Solid blue light or endless blinking blue light?
solid blue light immediately with the fan running, tried another sb too, same behavior
boot sequence first stage 321, second stage 0.015
no uart error
The strange thing is that it often doesn’t boot at all.
It seems like a faulty NOR but I flashed 2 different BIOS
Solid blue light would mean that the southbridge freeze/hangs. Was the fan PWM pad under the Southbridge on the mainboard damaged?
Those times it doesn’t start, first stage at 0.15, second stage at 0.09.
The pad was slightly damaged there was little solder but I restored it well
I changed two southbridge but same problem
I’m thinking if the crystal oscillator might have been damaged..Or I can try to change the southbridge again what would you do?
What pad was damaged and had a little solder?
Was it under the southbridge?
If you changed the southbridge twice, with known good southbridges, I don’t think it will improve the situation. If you think the crystal is damaged, I would change it and check again.
