I bought a switch to try to repair for my son for xmas. There was a short on the 3.3v rail which tracked to a cap near the ENxx chip which was also removed in the process.
I got new cap and ENxx chip and soldered everything back in place but I don’t get 3.3v out of the EN chip. There is 1.66v on the CE pin and 4.2v present but 3.3v was at 0.05v or so.
I have checked for shorts to ground on the 3.3v rail and there is no current draw injecting 1v onto it however if I remove the ENxx chip and try a first stage boot I see 0.7v on the 3.3v rail.
Is this correct or should I be looking for a 3.3v rail short to another v rail?
Actually I should have also said that I had to to put a resistor back in on the CE line which is 100k so I have 1.83 volts coming into that and then 1.66 coming out and into this ENxx.
I saw this on another thread and I probably need to replace the ENxx again possibly, but the resistor where it shows 1.8v here is the one that was knocked off and I replaced with a 100k having seen an image on another thread marked with this.
