I was working on a NS that had docking issue, no HDMI output.
I changed several times the P13USB with no results. Then I looked at the diode measurements around the chip and some of the pads were obviously OL.
Then the struggle has started. I finally achieved the good diode measurement and dock working somehow, by applying pre tin on all pads of the P13USB (even the vertical ones!) and pass the soldering iron again and again to obtain good contact btw the pads and the chip. It took me ages.
Honestly I was about to resign, claiming that the batch of P13USB I purchased may be wrong.
Conclusion: always trust the chip, never your soldering ![]()
Obviously my experience is not universal, I just wanted to share it.
