Im working on a switch that was getting no power. no charge nothing. turned out to be the first obstacle was the fuse on A side. Now the battery is getting power but it wont kick on. Can anyone share a link with continuity or values?
specifically if you could check this component, idk what it is but seems like a smaller coil?
thank you in advance for anyone that can give me a quick test.
You got it. It s a coil. If there is continuity through the coil, the coil is ok.
I would check the diode above the coil.
It is the backlight circuit, if I remember correctly. In one of ’ My Mate Vince ’ try-to-repair videos, he is working on this ciruit.
Also, the capacitor that sits on the APU (Switch LITE). I’ve asked pretty much everywhere and then two possible options came up:
*C0603X5R1A104K030BC
TDK Corporation
CAP CER 0.1UF 10V X5R 0201
And
02016D105MAT2A
AVX Corporation
CAP CER 1UF 6.3V X5R 0201
I guess the voltage really doesn’t matter, but the capacitance does. I don’t have a way (nor the device) to measure that, if you know it, care to share? It’s the first capacitor below the chip, from left to right.
