Yeah they’re both a possibility, though it’s typically a soldering issue on inner USB pins

Some of the USB port pins were badly damaged from what I think was liquid.
I soldered copper wire to small traces. It’s possible I’ve a bad connection although I did pre tin the pins, heated from underneath and dropped new port in from above and applied pressure while cooling.
Anyone know where to get a breakout board in the UK? I can only seem to find US located ones.

Theres this one… though annoyingly it’s a female connector so you’d have to pickup a male to male cable too
Hard to narrow the cable down on ebay… you will be able to find cheaper
