Hey, got a weird one. I’ve been messing with a board for a while and thought I had it back working fully but I wasn’t getting a reading from the computer or docking. I read about the data lines from other forums posts here. D+ was OL but D- read normal. My usb-c pin reader showed pin 6 and 19 OL.
I changed the common choke by the FL1 label and the filter below it. After doing that my problem flipped. Now D+ reads proper and D- is OL. Usb-c reader now shows pin 7 and 18 as OL. I still get no docking. The computer now recognizes something is plugged in but tells me there is a problem and it can’t be read.
Any ideas? I know from other posts the data line issues could be an SoC problem but with it flipping from plus to minus, do you think SoC is to blame? No shorts at any other area that I’ve seen. Unit functions otherwise as far as I can tell. It is an unpatched V1 so I’d like to restore data lines if possible but certainly at least docking.
