Enamel wire micro-soldering

I’m in the process of practicing my skills in micro-soldering. I ordered up a mod chip to solder in my Switch Lite. The enamel wire I also ordered to get the job done is 38 gauge. I’m thinking I would need something a bit more flexible.

One is the gauge of wire, is it enough to handle the job. Second, any suggestions on a gauge that would be small enough but also sturdy and flexible enough. I was thinking 28-30?

Thank for the help.
