Hi everyone,
I have an EDM-031 console that crashes with error CE108255-1 in games. So I replaced the SSD controller with a new one and got a UART error 80800001. I replaced it again and now I’m getting error 80870004. This component lights up like a Christmas tree (circled in red), but that might be normal. Is this the culprit or the one circled in blue?

I guess with the soldering went something wrong.
Hi Calvin, no problem with the soldering. I just put the original chip back in, no issues, the console works normally except for the original error CE108255 1, which proves that I know how to solder, but the replacement chips I supposedly bought new aren’t and are faulty. GRRR. So I’m going to use a donor chip, we’ll see how it goes, and I’ll come back with the results this weekend. Thanks.
