So, I recently got into buying broken electronics and trying to fix them. I got this PS5, I went through the voltage rails, with the exception of F7002, i have all voltage rails. In the F7002, initially, i had a blown fuse, but no shorts at all. I replaced the fuse, it didn’t blow again. I am getting 5v, 3.3v i am also getting but not on both sides of the (resistor?, doesn’t look like a cap) On the regulator side of the resistor, i am getting 0v to ground. On the other side, 3.3v. If i measure the voltage across the resistor i am getting 3.3v. I am not getting 1.8v at all. I ran a UART diagnostic, and i am getting these errors: 80810001: General Power Sequence Failure (Check all standby and power-on voltages) 0C00136: USB-BT Device Not Found. WI-FI or BT Problem or Power Failure. Powers off after 2 seconds. (02x 1.8V, Check WI-FI/Bluethtooh Module code thrown when module removed)
I have checked all the components under the wifi module (theres a lot of references online i see to there being caps, but i see resistors and no caps, all black).. but there are no shorts. I replaced the wifi module twice. nothing. The regulator i mentioned before had a 028 label on it (it’s an EDM-020 board). I replaced that with a 2c regualtor. They’re supposed to be interchangeable. But still nothing. I cannot find any short. I am at the ends of my wits.

Ok I stand corrected. this is what happens when you look at something on 2 hours of sleep lol. I apologize.
So, there was indeed a short in one of the caps on the back of the WiFi module (with the WiFi module removed, the WiFi module was removed because it was causing a short on the 3.3v rail). I removed it and the short is gone. However, I am not getting 1.8v out of F7002. All other voltages are present. Voltages at the A2 regulator: 5v on Vin, 3.3v on Enable. I am not getting 1.8v out. There are no shorts or anything. In fact, the resistance from the 1.8v are on the F7002 to GND is 200ohms. which checks out. I saw on a different post the expected resistances of the resistors in the F7002 area, they all check out as well. The only thing i found weird is the 100k in circuit. It’s testing at 66k. Thats the resistor between vout and the voltage feedback (FB) on the regulator chip. I thought it was a faulty resistor, took it out of the circuit, it tested at 100k but i replaced it anyway. I also replaced the A2 chip for the 4th time (i broke 2 of them soldering them, so not that they’re faulty)… but i still am not getting the expected 1.8v out.. any ideas? At first i thought i might not be getting enable signal, but i am. so there really should be no reason why the voltage is not present.
