Hello,
I need help identifying what component this is. The marking on the chip is L18. I cant seem to find anything online about this. Attached is a picture of the component I need help with. Chip is near the ALC5639 Chip.

Thank you!
I’m fairly certain it’s a voltage regulator/LDO that supplies 1.8v to the ALC5639’s DACREF, CPVDD, and DBVDD pins.
DACREF is analog power, CPVDD powers the headphone charge pump, and DBVDD is digital power, all of which expect 1.8v (ideally).
150mA should suffice, but there shouldn’t be anything wrong with using one rated for 300mA as long as it’s outputting 1.8v. Being rated for higher is fine, as the switch will only draw what it needs (assuming no other board faults of course).
This one is in stock, has low idle power consumption (quiescent current), and decent noise-suppression/filtering…
Digikey part number: RP123K181D-TR
This one should also be viable, with slightly higher base power draw, higher dropout voltage, and lesser electrical noise suppression:
(Can’t post links yet either…)
DigiKey part number:
MIC5504-1.8YMT-TR
…
And only NOW… am I seeing that this was July of last year. Sorry for necro-posting I guess?
