Help needed, Shorted pad behind F7502 EDM-030

I have ps5 that has 1 sec blod repedatly, scanned uart got 80810001 and c020303. I looked at everything, only thing that stood out was these shorted caps next to AQCN805.

Removed them both and there was still short, removed ic too, still short. That shorted pad doesn’t go anywhere, i checked behind the board too.

Also i found on a yt video that those caps shouldn’t be shorted.

Does anyone know where does that pad go, or what may be causing the short?

The shorted line is 1.8V_SOC_VDDA. It goes to APU, to the eight GDDR6 RAM chips and to the XDPE VRM controller.

I would inject 1V and see if something heats up at APU, RAM or XDPE.

Had an simular issue, but 30 Ohm on 1.8V_SOC_VDDS.

Same UART Code

Removed every possible component except Apu. still 30 Ohm.

Result, APU internal damage.

I didn’t get the time, checked with thermal again around those components. And found small cap that’s shorted, it was bearly visible with 1.5v 1a but it sucked it all :joy:, next to one of the ram ic’s. Does someone know the value of said cap? removing it rectified the short on the 1.8v rail

Got a donor froma friend, raplaced it and it works. I hope someone find this helpful

0 Ohm short is almost always better than low resistance… :upside_down_face:
