My front usb port just stopped working one day and I tried EVERYTHING I did a system reinstall from the official playstation website I factory rested it but it just wont work or recognize anything and what’s driving me crazy Is that it charges my phone somehow but nothing else and I really don’t want to send it back because I’m afraid the replacement might have a loud coil whine or a loud fan mine is super quiet but I’ve done everything and nothing seems to work so if you have anything suggestions Please drop them because I really need them
Good and bad news. Good news is the front usb port is easily replaceable because it is connected using a ribbon cable. Bad news is there are currently no replacement usb ports. Your best option is to send it to sony, since no parts are avaliable. Plus, they might just replace the port and give you the same console.
