I am quite new to this, however I successfully modded my first switch OLED. I just enjoy this kind of new hobby of mine.
Now a couple weeks later I am doing a second OLED mod, not with the v6s ribbon cable but the v3 cable.
Now my question is if the trace is bad in the picture below, or is it just exposed and fixable with mask?
The modchip booted with a *== which means bad wiring or a dead APU. I removed the mod and the switch doesn’t turn on.
The APU doesn’t get hot (tested with hovering my fingers above the APU), I did order a thermal camera which will arrive next week, maybe I can then see what the problem could be. However I couldn’t think of any other issue because everything else seems alright.
Also almost all of the caps on the APU were shorted, my multimeter kept beeping on both sides of the caps, which didn’t when I modded my previous switch. So I am also busy replacing those caps right now, where did it go wrong? I am wondering if anyone knows so I can learn from these mistakes.
