My controller blinking orange 3 times when I press power button. Try to connect it to ps5 and pc but it keeps blinking orange 3 times.

Usually the 3 orange flashes indicate that no battery is connected.
On one controller with 3 blinking lights I fixed, the battery was connected, but the controller could not read the battery’s temperature, using its middle pin. It had a resistor missing on board. Putting it back fixed the issue.
No battery at all is indicated by two blinks.

For one customer’s controller. I use tweezer short ps button and usb connector gnd pin. And it worked, blue light on and connect to the console. But a few days of using customer said the three orange light blinks happened again. Physical check there is no component missing.
I’ve just had this problem on a controller myself for a second time The first one I thought I couldn’t figure it out so marked it as dead , Recently had a second one after replacing some Hall effects on a refurbished controller that someone had messed up ,
Seems to me that there’s a short on the board somewhere , I would focus around the stick area , cap knocked off or something bridged

I accidentally put too much solder and had a short between the three legs of the left-right sensor of the left analog joystick. This caused the three yellow blinks. It did not turn on when pressing the PS button or connecting the usb cable to a PC or PS4. Removing this short allowed the controller to turn on again.
