New 3DS XL Touch Screen Issues

i bought a new 3ds xl recently knowing there were issues with the touch panel but over the couple months its been getting worse and now i cant use the left hand side of the touch screen. im not sure if i should try and repair it myself as there are no companies that take 3ds repairs near me or should i just buy a new one and and change the sd card?

3DS’s are fiddly, but not too bad as long as you are not going in to the top half. How good are you at fitting delicate ribbon cables with tweezers? There are some connections where you must not lift the catch,they just slide out. But other than that,if you are careful and take your time it should be doable.
