Will the Nintendo Switch power up without the Battery Management Charging IC
Something must bring power to the Vsys. If the BQ is not in place the line will not be powered and so the rest of the board.
I was thinking that its only purpose was just to charge the battery and if you had a charged battery it would power up
For examnple take a phone If the chaging circuit was faulty it would still power up if the battery had enought charge to power it up
The BQ chip is needed to switch power from battery to the system or from usb to the system.
red = input USB, orange = input/charging battery, blue = needed output for system voltage
That an amazing drawing for the circuit showing what goes on That would help me and many others going forward to find out where the faults are and understand how that part of the circurty works. Did you do this youself>>>
Are they numbers like 372 that you should get by diode reading testing for shorts
Thanks so much - you givem me now a lot of information on how the switch works this part anyway Has you know you need to have a very good idea how thinks work to trouble shoot a fault
I appreciate you time to answer my question
