Nintendo Switch NAND upgrade

Hello guys.
I decided to make a nand upgrade for my Switch and i ordered new chip eMMC SDINBDA4-128G from here:

https://ro.mouser.com/ProductDetail/SanDisk/SDINBDA4-128G?qs=sGAEpiMZZMtrOYfT0mhKeUzd88m4IAQx8g4qy4blkMZQF//LLxhtRA==

Until i get it, with hekate i have dumped eMMC BOOT0, BOOT1, eMMC RAW GPP, BIS, TSEC and SBK keys . I removed the eMMC board from the Switch and with the hot air station, i removed the original NAND chip and clean off the pads on the mini board. When the new chip arrives, they i come back with new information on how i progress with the work.

I came back with new data.
For me being the first time I try a nand upgrade, i first tested with a 32Gb SanDisk eMMC. Now that I have succeeded and everything is ok, i will order 128 GB.

Hey there,
wow, congratulations. I’ve never done that before. Sounds cool. Did you also manage to move the OS and everything to the new chip and boot?

Thank you very much. Yes I made a Nand restore with Customized Hekate : https://github.com/sthetix/hekate-emmc-size-check-removed/releases
For the eMMC 128Gb I will have to use:
Memloader: https://switchtools.sshnuke.net/
HacDiskMount: https://switchtools.sshnuke.net/
biskeydump: https://switchtools.sshnuke.net/
NANDPART: https://github.com/blawar/nandpart
Gparted Live: https://gparted.org/download.php

That is very cool! Thanks for sharing the links too, will probably very useful down the road :grinning:.

Anytime for the community. A complete guide to the link below. Thx @sthetix for the tutorial.

Hey there,
ok, so it can only be done with unpatched switches. Nevertheless, nice work and thank you for the information!

Unfortunately yes. But, the latest news from sources say that it looks like TX has actually found a way to modify the latest Switch consoles, including the newly released Lite!:smiling_imp::crazy_face:

Hey there,
we will see about that. Sooner or later, the security of the new Switch and Switch Lite will fall, too.
