Nintendo Switch Pro controller right analog lost range of motion

Symptom - right analog controller cannot do a full 360 at all extremes. If I start from full left and go toward bottom left, it catches right around 7 o’clock, then has to travel in a straight line to about 3 o’clock. This makes it very difficult to play games that use the right stick to control the camera. I have not tried taking the controller apart yet. I’m wondering if it is even worth trying before seeking out a repair. I really don’t have any experience soldering. I’d rather pay a repair fee than risk destroying an otherwise functional controller.

Any ideas if taking the controller apart might result in a fix without any soldering required?
