Hi, bought a Nintendo switch which I bought on Ebay on as water damaged( when opened had no signs of water damage) Found a short on the video ic removed ic and switch powered straight on, ordered a new ic and fitted but now switch won’t power on or even show any amperage on amp meter. But the backlight would still come on at first but now that’s not even coming on now. Am at a lost as what have done wrong. Probed the motherboard with multimeter meter and a physically inspection but everything showing as fine, like no short or physically damage.
Chances are high that you’ve caused a bridge.
remove the IC and see if the console boots then you know for sure (provided the short didn’t cause damage elswhere)
