Hi everyone,
I’ve got another interesting case. A PlayStation 5 that has been dropped. It initially showed a green screen. The HDMI port was replaced after that. It looks perfectly fine.
Now I’ve had it in for inspection. The PlayStation 5 powers on for one second (blue light), then shuts off again. I connected UART and got a RAM error (bank 8). Under the microscope, a visible crack could be seen. Replaced that chip, and the error disappeared — only to be followed by the next one.
RAM (Banks 1, 2, and 5) have all been reballed and tested again. That error is gone too, but now a new one has popped up
This time it’s one I can’t find much about: error code 80801F12. It’s marked as low in the log and noted as a known unknown error.
Anyone here had any experience with this
