Hello. I am attempting to repair a defective PS4 controller. The controller “charges” and the yellow light comes on and will sync to the system with the usb plugged in, but as soon as I unplug it the controller dies. I have swapped the battery out with 3 others and have tested all 3 batteries in other controllers so I know thats not the issue. I’m guessing there is an issue with the plastic port where the battery plugs into. Do you guys have any guidance?
I thought maybe it was the chip in the middle of the board but cant figure it out.

I have this same issue. Haven’t been able to find any solution for it though.

Your Charger IC BD92001 is likely dead. Replace it and it should work back again. Just keep in mind not melting the sticks when using heat.
