Looks like you’re not the only one here who has that same exact issue! I have a STANDARD ps4 that needed a disc drive replacement. I made sure that the model number for the ps4 connected to the disc drive on amazon and that it worked with my model number. It comes in today, and it fits and everything. I use my old pcb board as I was told to for the new disk drive. Upon turning it on, the disc drive cannot sense a disc im trying to put in it. My model number for my PS4 is a CUH-1215a. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
