Hey guys,
I bought an broken PS4 (CUH-1004A) and when I cleaned up the disk drive (cause it was really really dirty) this small piece showed up:

I tried to use the PS4 without that small piece but there where some really strange noises…
Anybody have an idea where this piece should be and how to get it back there?
I watched several videos and pictures of the PS4 disk drive but I never saw it before.

Is it a thin little metal plate? Sorry, I can’t see the image.
Nvm I see it now. I have a drive out already, I’ll open it up and see where it goes.

That’s the manual eject gear. You can look up google photos of where it goes.

That didn’t fixed the strange noise but now I can be sure it’s not caused by this piece
