Hey folks,
my PS4 (CUH-1216A) has issues in reading any disc, regardless if Blu-Ray (games and movies) or DVD. The drive tries to spin up after injecting the disc for about 90 seconds and gives up, the console shows “Unknown disc”. It seems to me that the drive lacks of power in order to spin up. I’ve got a sound file of the issue, if useful (but unfortunately I can’t attach it here).
I tried everything I found on the web and at YouTube (tapping on the console, factory reset, reinstall) and replaced the laser and the rail / motor (KEM-490), but the issue remains.
Anyone familiar with this issue? Any help will be appriciated!
