I have a problem with my PS4 original. One day it just stopped displaying anything. I took it apart and checked around the board. I found that the Caps around the HDMI ic were shorted so i replaced the ic with new one. Now it shows display on the screen but only when i am on safe mode.Tried an other hard drive still the same. Tried to install the latest update still the same. Tried to reinstall but still nothing i have image only in safe mode. So in the end i replaced the HDMI port with a new one but still the same thing. Can anyone help me please?
My guess is it’s one of 2 things, the chip that controls the hdmi port or the apu. If its the apu then you would be best off buying a new ps4
