Im trying to help someone with a ps4 and i need some advice…the ps4 is basically dead with no signs of life. The PSU is good and the power supply is good, the person that tested it said the fuses test ok and there are no obvious blown or damaged components on the board or any shorts on the power rails… When I tested it I ran across a short on a cap beside the power management chip, removed it and the power button/sensor worked to turn it on and inserting a disc turned it on…replaced cap and still will not power on. Any idea why the power and eject sensors may not be working?
Try checking the power management chip and the apu
