I just bought a PS4 that is in safemode loop. All of the options in safe mode are greyed out except for the 7th one (reinitialize software) and I clicked that and plugged in my usb drive with the correct files, and it started to reinitialize and then stops at 99 percent. I switched my hdmi cable and then the PS4 started to boot up like normal you could see the PS4 logo but after a bit when it is about to say Sony it shuts off or something and boots into safemode except the sides are cropped off. I heard buying a new hard drive and installing the operating system will help fix this will it?
I would put my money on a new HDD but that’s not a guarantee.
Did buying a new hdd solve the problem?
My ps4 won’t update it’s keeps going in circles about updating with current software installation update and it safe mode loops over and over thinking it’s a corrupted bios chip
