Hey, I currently have a PS5 with a 2 sec BLOD on it. I’ve already found the short circuit. I don’t measure any discrepancies on the power rails.
I can rule out the capacitor and resistor because the short was still there when I removed the components.
The console also draws 0.320A in the first Stage and then drops to 0.007-9A in Sleep.
So everything is normal so far.
The shorted capacitor leads more or less directly to the APU.
Has anyone ever had a short in the same area?
I strongly assume that ws is the APU
Is the short only at those capacitors or other places on the board. If you can inject 1v and view under thermal cam or use alcohol to see which component is getting hot
