Have a never been opened and very clean PS5 that is stuck in safe mode. All options are available and I have tried them all including reinstalling the system software via usb. The same thing, it boots up into safe mode when on.
Warranty sticker was intact, no dirt or debris inside and nothing obviously burned or broken on the motherboard.
Next steps?
I would check UART error codes.
No uart codes. Tried redoing the liquid metal and thermal putty, same issue.
Does anyone have a link to somewhere where they go step by step as to how to check for shorts on the board? Most videos I have found don’t do a good job of explaining what they are doing and exactly how. TIA.
Is the software update successful?
Everything goes through but it’s the same upon restart or powering up. Safe mode only.
I’m guessing something BIOS/SSD related I’m guessing something BIOS/SSD related.
I am unsure how to troubleshoot that.
