PS5 EDM-020 (Digital) No power/No Beep

Hi everyone, Bought a non functionnal PS5. Apparently only a bad PSU… No beep, nothing. After some tests i found this :

  • PSU is fine (12 volts stable)
  • 12 volts line is shorted
  • DA9065 was fried, F7003 also => Replaced both of them, short is gone on 12 volts line, no dead short anywhere else.
  • However, nothing change. No signal, no power, no beep.

Mesured all rails with my workbench psu (12 volts input)

  • 0.00 amp consumption
  • 12 volts, 5 volts, 2 volts, 1,15 volts are presents (i suppose new DA9065 do is job)
  • 3,3 volts, 1,8 volts aren’t there.

So i mesured resistance to ground for these faulty rails
3,3 volts => 35Kohms / 0.445 volts in diode mode
1,8 volts => 200 ohms / 0,228 volts drop (diode)
0,8 volts (D9081 output) => 77 ohms / 0,100 volts (diode)

I don’t understand why 3,3 volts isn’t generated, 02V PMIC seems to be good, 5v input is present, but 3,3 volts isn’t, like 1,8 volts.

Found a “short” near Apu. Boths caps in the center of the apu shows around 2 or 3 ohms. I know Apu like ram have a very low resistance, but it’s really low there. Injected 1.2 volts in this area, board is taking 1,1 A (no signe of clear warming)

I tried to inject voltage on 1,8 volts line. I only have a 0,02A consumption at 1,8 volts, unable to warm nothing at all and finding faulty component.

I do the same on 3.3 volts line => 0 A consumption. Nothing seems to be shorted.

Some pictures joined.

Thanks a lot for your help
