Good day, I need advise around this chip it read shorted.
I injected voltage but nothing showed up
Removed the caps tested the caps it reads ok but still reads shorted.
Removed the chip without the caps still reads shorted.
Is this normal ?
How much resistance to ground did you measure>? 50 to 100ohm is normal for this 0.8v ssd controller circuit
Just measured it it’s 35.55 ohms.
a bit on the low side. Do you see your board boot sequence current draw?
The boot sequence was 300ma but now it’s just 20ma. Can’t imagine why!
if no high current draw, check if 5v standby any short or SB SSD power circuit fuse blow
Tested by the what I think it’s the ram power supply there was no output voltage however it wasn’t shorted, but it is now!
Thanks for your reply, I did check the board for shorts but didn’t get any other than my last Pic probably by the ram pwr supply, I did injected 1v but the current draw was negligible as not too notice any sorts on the board.
