PS5 EDM-020: Specs for 0603 capacitor behind RT5126 / DA9065 (5V line)?

Hi everyone,

I’m repairing a PS5 motherboard (EDM-020) with a 5V standby issue. I found a shorted SMD capacitor directly on the backside of the RT5126 (or DA9065 on some board revisions) PMIC.

Known Details:

  • Board Model: PS5 EDM-020

  • Location: Backside of RT5126 / DA9065 PMIC

  • Package Size: 0603 (Confirmed)

  • Circuit: 5V standby / filtering rail

Questions:

  1. Could anyone with donor boards or schematics verify the exact capacitance (e.g., $10\mu\text{F}$, $4.7\mu\text{F}$, or $22\mu\text{F}$)?

  2. For voltage rating, would 10V or 16V be appropriate here?

Thanks in advance for any help!

No beep and blue light. Missing 3.3v and 5v near RT5126 and near power button. 3.3v is missing near hdmi port but 5V near hdmi is present.

22uF_6.3v_0603 from schematic

10v rate is ok but since it’s on 5v rail, 6.3v is the default voltage rate for this cap

Great. Many thanks. I have tried 4.7 uf 16v

And it also works.

Some caps are a bit confusing:

C7005 =
A) at schematic: 22uF X5R 1709 metric 6.3V
B) at part table: 47UF X5R (2012 metric) 20% 6.3V
C) at TPS62822 datasheet: 4.7 μF ±20%, 6.3V, ceramic, 0603 imperial, X7R
D) own measurements: 22µF 0603’ (1608 metric) >5V = min. 6.3V
