The console was dead, no beeps, no lights.
Replaced the shorted SB, now it works but won’t update.
USB-C detected as faulty.
Replaced IC3501 S2MMC01X01, problem not solved, however:
PIN 25 VLDO does not return any voltage / zero ohms (I don’t know if this is normal behavior)
PIN 29 INTB shows 3V, dropping to 0.9V and rising again, in a loop.
TUSB1044…no power on VCC (3.3V_SOC_V33_S5 is standby or power on? Or does it depend on S2MMC01X01?)
IC7106 (3.3V_SOC_V33_S5). IC7106 is receiving 5 V on its VDD pin, but there’s no output on PIN 5 (again, I don’t know if it’s generated at power ON or standby?)
TI 3219A next to IC7106: PIN 3 VFB, output to a capacitor, followed by another: it beeps to ground on both sides and returns 0 ohms on both sides.
IC3501 manage the power switches for the USB C power output.
Pin 25 VLDO should show aprox 1.5V standby/ 7 MOhms resist / 0.500mV diode.
Pin 28 INTB should show clean 3.3V
TUSB1044 is a USB C dataline muxer, which flip/unflip the datalines according to the orientation of the USB C jack inserted. The TSB1044 is powered by IC7106.
Thanks for the feedback. I inspected the replaced SB and it was dirty around the edges. I thoroughly cleaned it, and now the voltage is stable at 3.3 volts on the INTB pin.
The VLDO outputs zero volts. Perhaps they sent me a faulty chip?
