PS5 single beep, missing 1v Vcore power on voltage

Have a PS5 (EDM 020) someone else tried to repair. They destroyed the 3.3 and 1.8 circuit at F7002. Bunch of exposed copper and bridging solder. Rebuilt that circuit, traced a short to the WIFI module, and replaced WIFI Module. Now the 3.3 and 1.8 voltages are present at standby.
The issue I am looking at now is the 1 volt generated for Vcore does not come up at power on. I’ve not done much work in this area and a little stumped. Findind no shorts and the diode readings around the XDPE14286A IC match a working board that I have.

Hi, did you find a solution for this?

Having a similar issue; All standby voltages present but no 1.35v on ram and 1v on vcore

Hello everyone!
Has anyone found a solution to this problem?

I’m having the same issue: the RAM isn’t receiving voltage (1.35 V) and the core voltage (1.00 V) is not available. I’ve also checked others power on rail and after 1 second from the PS5 power on button press, different lines are cutted off.

Also 5V power on line is missing (on the B-SIDE of MB, rear the Panasonic HDMI IC) I found a SOT-23-6 with labeled “09A1J”, on this component (No datasheet is available online) i’ve a missing 5V at power on.

slot#0: 80810001 (latest/newest error): PwrState:HostOsOff|?(10h)? UpCause:N/A DevPM:C TSoC:N/A TEnv:N/A Power Sequence Error. General Power Failure (Peripheral, GDDR6, APU, Data Line Short)

slot#1: C0810303 - 0d0h0m0s: PwrState:HostOsOff|?(10h)? UpCause:N/A DevPM:C TSoC:N/A TEnv:N/A HDMI IC Access Error #0303. HDMI IC not present or not reponding. Check data and power (1v8/0v9 regulators), and/or replace HDMI IC.

Current absorbment starts with 300 mA dropping to 0.00A
Clock is available on S.I.E. and BIOS chip.

All the others standby power seems to be correct.
I’m worried about the condition of the RAM or the APU.

I’m trying to week to post a new topic with my issue, photo and a correct description but antispam block my topic and no one answer me :smiling_face_with_tear:

I would check the ciruits around the HDMI chip.

Hello @Calvin thank you very much Bro !

I already had this checks, I post the results. The component on the second photo where 5V pwr is missing, is my “nowhere to be found” 09A1J. :joy:

Thanks for your great job man !

The switch chip is a TPS2553.

Calvin, you say that missing 5V power on is due to a damaged TPS2553 ? I’ve to replace it ?

I would inject 3.3V at pin 3 (EN) and see if pin 6 (SW output) show 5V.
If so, the chip should be ok. I guess it will be so.

Next thing I would check is the HDMI chip:

Hi @Calvin,

I checked the TPS2553 and as you told injecting 3.3V at pin 3 (EN) pin 6 (SW output) goes to 5V.
So the chip is working properly. I checked several EN signals and all of them were interrupted one second after PS5 power on.

About MN864739 I’ve all different values from you infographic. For example only the 0,4K resistences are corresponding, all the other values are different.

I’ve already replaced MN864739 because the original one was shorted.

Do you need all the exact values measure ?

The value don’t have to be exact as written, but in the same range.

What are your readings at the HDMI port?
