PS5 slim fault help

Im after some advice regarding an issue I caused with my ps5. Whilst putting it back together after applying a vynl wrap I dropped the front panel of the co sole causing the ribbon cable to the power and usb c to rip out. Whilst trying to put it back i have turned iton and it was fine but i couldnt get the ribbon cable seated properly so i kept tryinh and then it just stopped turning on. I bought a new power board and ribbon cable but it still wouldnt turn on. I went to board level with my multi meter and checked the components around the ribbon cable socket and found a single fuse at F7002 that blown and had no continuity. I also checked the power supply and it was fune. I have ordered a replacement fuse for F7002 but I couldnt find anything else obvious.

From what I have described would a blown fuse be the only issue or would it take more than that to blow a fuse?

For PS5 SLIM, both F7001 and F7002 are for 5v_standby Voltage rail. In most cases fuse doesn’t blow up for no reason, so you need to check if any short exist on the circuit(i.e both side of fuse pads) before you simply trying to put new fuse on and blow it again.

I did exactly that checked all fuses both sides on f7001 and f7002 and all seemed OK.

Do you think the power button board ribbon cable shorting could blow a 5v standby fuse as it was loose and could have had a contact bridge?

The front io board USB power rails are on separate 5v rail nothing to do with F7002.

I assume you check fuses in continuity mode but not resistance to ground?

Yes I checked all fuses in continuity mode
