PS5 USB Front Port help required

Has anybody managed to locate what USB-C connector is used on the front of the PS5 port.

My understanding is that this can be purchased as a replacement c/w ribbon cable, however I have a PS5 where both front USB-A and USB-C ports have gone bad.

I appreciate anyone who can point me in the direction of replacement part numbers, so that I can replace (micro solder) new ports in place.

Should be a JAE Through hole C port but no idea the part number since they can be easily ordered from anywhere when searching PS5 front USB port.

@jkyoho

Thank you in regard to the USB-C, but what about the USB-A port.. that one also is mounted differently to the the normal connectors and I did a search on JAE site but they do not offer that type.

Thanks again

Sorry my bad, they are both made by Luxshare not JAE, so cant find part number. I see TE might have similar style but with no spring lock from entrance

Many thanks for that info Jkyoko, I have located the TE parts through a local distributor - just out of curiosity though what is the spring lock and what does this do please ?

Its the spring contact to the metal shield bracket to the front IO proving EMI shield I believe. No big deal for most people dont use front C port for external hard dive connection

Thank you again for that extra info. Think I have managed to source from a local distributor. Definitely doesn’t have the spring lock though, but as you have advised probably not necessary
