I purchased a PS5 from a coworker assuming i could repair it. None of the USB ports work on the PS5 or supply power. He factory reset the system so there are no controllers connected to it and i cannot connect a new one. Any ideas?

No it doesnt. I have tested all of the USB ports with different cables as well as different electronics. It appears that they are not receiving any power.
So very likely is board issue, either southbridge or wifi module. If no short on Vbus but no 5v at all on usb port, southbridge would be my 1st suspect
Thank you for the recommendations. I will be starting with the southbridge. I will update once i have swapped that out.
