Randomly freezes at the Switch logo

Hi.

I have a patched, unmodified Switch v1 that randomly freezes at the Switch logo.

I have to perform a hard reset to restart it, and after 4 or 5 attempts, it boots normally.
Everything works fine: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and games but I have to disable sleep mode because waking it up freezes the console and forces me back to the hard reset…

I’ve tried resetting and installing the latest firmware from recovery mode, but it hasn’t changed anything.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks.

Update.

Hi.

I installed a chip to run a diagnostic with Hekate.

I’m finding several issues (see photos).

If I boot from the emuMMC partition, it starts up rather slowly.

Once it reaches the home screen, it crashes after a few seconds.

I checked and measured the SD card slot connector, and everything seems fine.
I checked the continuity with the card reader, and it’s all good.

I’ve tested several memory cards.

So, I’m wondering:
Should I try a different battery?
Should I replace the fuel gauge chip?
Should I try a different SD card reader?

Or, given the symptoms I observed before installing the chip, could the problem be related to the RAM or CPU, as I’ve read in some posts?

Thanks.

try another wifi chip instead

Hi.

I want to reiterate that when the Switch starts up after several attempts and I disable sleep mode, it works perfectly for several hours until the battery drains.

The Wi-Fi and Bluetooth work perfectly during this time.

What makes you think the problem is related to the Wi-Fi chip?

Thanks.
