Replacement of ribbon cable port for power/eject

I am not the best at soldering. The tools at my disposal is kapton tape, copper braid, Hakko FX888D 23BY, and a cheapo hot air rework station. My friend attempted to clean out his console and unfortunately ripped the cable out, the black insert is still stuck on the cable and the port is absolutely mangled with one pin falling off. A new port has been ordered. What’s the best method for replacing the port?

I removed the connector with leaded solder on the pins and hotair from the backside. It was a bit tricky because the board absorb very much heat. The new connector I placed on the cleaned pads and solder it with a soldering iron.

If someone needs a original replacement port in the EU I have some.
