Ripped up pad near p13usb

thanks for all the info. I’ll report back with pictures once I have it all completed the fix

Update: The switch is back to life now and working in dock mode, thanks to all that help me along the way

The switch should have been fixed a month or two ago but I reverse the red/black probe when comparing to Calvin diode diagram. As a result, I did not get the diode number and thought my p13usb was faulty and ordered more.

My apologies as the job look really crappy under the microscope, I have tinned all the pads properly but with flux/lighting it looks like the pads are not tinned at all. i have also replaced the 0201 0.1uF that got blew off (left bottom) before putting it back together.

Well done man! glad you got the switch up and running again

Sure it will look fine once you’ve given it a scrub down with some IPA

For future reference, try to avoid covering passives in the UV mask, it can lead to issues later down the line such as cracking and/or changing the thermal characteristics which in turn could change their values. Don’t think it’s a big deal in this case, but worth bearing in mind
