Here’s the problem. I have a Xbox Series X which I purchased on day 1 of the original release date. Never had a single issue with it until now.
Symptoms: External USB drive no longer recognized. The console with restart randomly. Sometimes it happens at the profile screen, sometimes after I have logged in and navigating menus. I have seen it restart with its in the middle of powering up after just restarting. Controller won’t recognize most of the time. Pressing the sync button doesn’t work 90% of the time. Having the controller plugged in Via USB-C will work sometimes.
After multiple tries I was able to do do a factory reset and the console is still having the same issue. Normally I had my controller, Headphones, and external drive plugged in. I have disconnected all the devices and it seems to take longer before a power cycle happens.
I have a second brand new Series X Digital and I used it to test all the devices and swapped all the cables out to test them all checked out fine on the new Xbox.
I am guessing its an internal power supply problem? I wanted to get some feedback on what else I can test or check before I crack it open as I’d prefer to only have to open it once and fix the issues
Maybe I just need to clean it?
