Several issues, where to begin?

Here are my observations:

  • Short on cap close to M92 that leads to P13USB.
  • Diod mode readings on M92 and BQ outside the normal ranges.
  • Short on cap close to BQ on the VSYS line.
  • USB port fucked up.

Where would you begin? Should I first remove P13 and check if the short close to M92 is gone? Then I check for the VSYS short? Then I replace P13, M92 and the USB port?

Thanks for your comments

1.remove usb port, leave it open.

2.if you talking about short cap on pin 5 on m92t, remove P13 and recheck if short gone.

3.if this is a v2 board, vsys resistance to ground maybe around 120ohm when there is diode implement on the vsys line next to 2R2 coil, in this case this is not short.

Thanks for the answer, no I was talking about the cap just under the one you are pointing. I thought this is the one related to a P13 damage.

Well it seems I misread your comment, and I unfortunately removed the diod close to the coil. I don’t have any other board with it, so no donor. Can I short it?

you could leave the diode uninstall, it wont stop you diagnose or turn on device, but you should not short it

ok, I pulled all the IC on the 3.3V rail (M92, P13, Wifi, ENXX, EMMC) and tried also to reflow slightly the APU, but still shorted. Next step is to remove the APU completely and see if the short is still there.

Maybe a reball will help but I am not so confident.
