Currently I’m struggling with replacing the SL/SR ribbon cable retainer component on my L joycon. I broke the original when doing another repair on the same JoyCon. I can’t seem to figure out how to solder the cable retainer to the board. The contacts are very small and underneath the retainer. Can anyone offer me insight into soldering this to the board? I’ve tried to find resources online but can’t find anything specific to this issue. Thanks for your time.
you would need to use hot air and heat the board up from the underside.
Just to order a new one. These cables costs less than 1$.
