Switch charge only on 15V

Hello,

I have a Switch that refuses to charge at 5V but charges perfectly at 15V or 9V.

I’ve replaced the charging connector, M92T36, P13, and BQ, but without success.
I measured points 2 and 3 in Diode mode and found no reading.

The specific symptom is:
The 5V turns on, charges at approximately 0.73A, then at boot, it’s 5V but 0A.

If I connect a fast charger, the charging rate becomes consistent.

Do you have any ideas, please?

Thank you

check your d+ &d- diode measure on usb port if they OL 5v charges uses those 2 dataline where PD charging uses CC datalines

Hello,

If i’m right, it’s Pin 6 and 7. I find OL in diode mode.

OK, measure diode reading on the test point 2 and 3 from the picture you shown from post, if they also OL, yoiu have a broken d+ d- circuit on CPU

I do that before and i have OL too. Sometimes, i have 0.xx but just for one second.

If I understand correctly, there’s nothing I can do?

I persisted because after replacing the P13, it charged fine at 5V, but it only lasted 5 minutes and then stopped.
Oh well, if there’s nothing more I can do, I’ll have to charge it using PD only.

But will Docking Mode work?
Thanks so much for your help.

not 100% sure if dock model would work without d+ d- but yea, not much you can do with that and no worth to reball CPU just for those

Okay, I won’t dwell on it then.

Thanks again so much for your help.

Have a good day.
