I have recently replaced an fuel gauge (max 17050) now hekate only shows 1000 mAh. My battery should be at 70%, but the switch sometime detect as 1% and sometime around 50%. I have read that hekate reset fuel gauge each time it starts. I have also read that some version of hekate has the manual fuel gauge reset. Does any one have experience with this?

If there were no problems with the old chip and this bootloader, then it may make sense to see what is being sent via the i2c interface.
And also compare the parameters of the internal configuration. The microcircuit has several dozen registers, including those that configure it.
External ic problems, such as a battery protector that controls multiple FET switches, cannot be ruled out.
