Hi all, long time lurker, first time poster!
Have been working on my first broken Switch Lite and had an issue with the M92T36 chip and wasn’t charging. Replaced the battery as it was showing no reading.
Then got a 201-0001 on the display. Replaced the M92 chip and replaced some missing caps and resistors around it and I am now getting backlight coming on, fan spins up after a minute or so. Drawing 1.15A to 1.2A at 8.8V after briefly trying to negotiate at 15V.
Happily seems to be taking a charge, screen comes on but then nothing further. Any checks I can make to try and see where the issue might be? I would just replace the screen, but quite frankly this was a first one of these and wanted to use it as practice more than anything else, so not sure I want to commit to that just yet when I know it was cracked but working before I replaced the M92 chip.

If you were able to read the error code, I assume the screen is working.
You might want to try cleaning all the FPC connectors (flux could have gotten in there) and properly reseating the ribbon cables (the backlight one and the display one).
Did you let the console charge for a while?
I assume that after turning it on, there is no sound when you press the buttons or the screen?

Unfortunately I’ve not been able to see the screen display since changing the M92T36 chip. But I spear to be getting there right voltages. I have a new screen and flex called to try next. Cheers
Where does the new M92T chip come from?
If it comes from AliExpress, some sellers ship defective chips (I had an issue with a batch of 5 chips that didn’t work).
Well I got them from eBay, but likely are from there originally. But surely I must be able to test that?
My original short I had on the M92 caps went when I removed and stayed gone after the new one had been installed?
A defective M92T chip (even a new one) might not show a short circuit.
Can you send a photo of your motherboard? (zoomed in on the M92T)
Have you a UsbC Tester ?
