Hello, i need help and more information to get a better idea of what i need to do to get my switch working on the internet again. A family member gifted me his switch lite, but its a unit that was ysed in prison where they disabled the wifi, i tried to factory reset the device, i came to the conclusion that its been motified on hardware level. I have never did repairs for small boards before other than repairing switch joy cons. Im wondering what all work would i need to do given the worst case senerio, and if it would be worth the time, im thinking antena, chips and traces were probably cutt. I want to restore it to working funtion, is this worth the work trying to repair it myself, or worth having someone do the repair for me? If not can i sell it to anyone for anything worth anything? I tried to factory reset it that didn’t work i was hoping it would be software or firmware related.
The system searches for a connection finds nothing then shows a menu of wired or manual set up for wired. I have no wifi but how woukd i connect a wired connection? Through usb c? Can i connect tgst to phone or pc for wired internet?
I think it can be done i just dont want to get a nintendo ban, or non working console. Any detailed or in depth info would be apreciated, i saw a couple threads talking about doing the reverse of this that kind of helped slightly, but id like to know more as a noob thanks.
