I have switch that came in for a charging port, Pretty bad.
no missing pads all looked good. so installed a new one, plugged in and it will charge at 12v 1amp or 5v .0.4 amps. fan will run apu gets warm when plugged in, but no image.
tried known good lcd still no image. can anyone help me along here?.
Hi there, if you suspect the switch to boot normally but just no image, inspect the lcd connector with a microscope, the pins bent very easily. However, 5V 0.4A doesn’t look right to me anyway, while 12V 1A does.
inspected looks perfect, thank you for you reply, i do not suspect booting normal as there is no touch or sound, but there is pc detect.
PC detected? is it in RCM mode?
wasnt in RCM mode, the switch gets supper hot also when left charging at APU,
